Gary -
Gary Utley is an audioprosthologist in the Bay Area, located southeast of Houston. Gary served his apprenticeship in 1978 and has been in the business full time since 1980.
Given the nature of his chosen career path, it is no surprise that Gary and his wife would have a connection to the deaf community. This connection was strengthened with the birth of their youngest daughter who is profoundly deaf. Both Gary and his wife also serve as sign language interpreters. They also interpret for deaf students in the Clear Creek Independant School district. Gary was once appointed by former Governor Clemmens to the governing board of the Texas School for the Deaf. Gary and Marie serve as interpreters for the deaf members of their church.
Kristen -
Kristen Carmeans has been an Hearing Instrument Specialist for Bay Area Hearing Services since 2006. She, like Gary, has a very personal interest in helping people hear because she has 2 sons that are severly hearing impaired. She met Gary after looking him up in the phonebook to have some new earmolds made for one of her sons. After meeting with him and talking with him she decided to come on board as a full time staff member at Bay Area Hearing Services and has since completed all required training and apprenticeship and earned her state license to fit and dispense hearing instruments.
At Bay Area Hearing Services, we know the day to day struggles that having a hearing loss can cause and we do our best to help you along your path to better hearing.

We are now members of the North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce!
